I think that whether this removal is for your benefit, that of the gods, of the house, or some combination of these, you are owed more of an explanation than that which you've gotten. I am sorry for this turn of events, and don't think you have gaffed maybe as much as you think you have? Im sure you've acted quite acceptably and not done anything wrong.
